Data retention policy
How long HighCohesion keeps job files, event data, entity records, and platform logs.
HighCohesion keeps operational data only as long as it is needed for troubleshooting, error resolution, and reporting. This page sets out what we store and for how long.
Job files
All job-related files are stored in privately hosted Amazon S3 buckets to support troubleshooting and error resolution. They are permanently deleted after 60 days. This includes event.json, payload_in.json, payload_out.json, transformation.json, and any output files such as XML or CSV.
Job and event data
Job and event data is retained in our operational databases for 60 days. Beyond that point it is permanently removed from operational systems, then obfuscated and transferred to a business intelligence database for aggregate reporting.
Platform logs
Platform logs are kept for 14 days to support troubleshooting and root cause analysis, then permanently removed.
Entity data
Entity records (the non-personal identifiers HighCohesion uses to track and deduplicate records such as orders, customers, and SKUs) persist for the life of your organisation's account. Following account closure, entity data is preserved for a further 60 days before permanent removal.
Requesting deletion
Where possible, stored data can be deleted on request. Contact support@highcohesion.com if you need data removed ahead of the retention schedule.
