What you can ask the AI assistant
Example questions for the HighCohesion MCP connector — troubleshooting records, understanding errors, failure reports, and tracing discrepancies.
Once the HighCohesion connector is set up (see Connecting Claude to HighCohesion), you can ask about your integrations naturally — you don't need to know any tool names. Broadly, the assistant can read your streams (what wires into what, status, and purpose), sources and destinations, transformations (mapping logic), the systems catalogue, entities and events, issues and occurrences, and lookup tables — never credential content, and only within your own organisation.
Troubleshooting a single record
The most common support request of all: one order, PO, or fulfilment didn't arrive where it should.
"Order #1234 never reached our ERP — why did it fail?"
"Our 3PL says they can't see this order. Did it leave HighCohesion, and with what result?"
"This fulfilment failed this morning but went through on a retry. What was the original error?"
Understanding errors and alerts
"We've had three alerts on our inventory stream today — what are they actually telling us, and do we need to act?"
"One of our streams shows as degraded. What does that mean, and which errors are behind it?"
"What does this error message mean? [paste the error]"
Failure reports over a time window
"List all the errors in the last 24 hours on our Shopify → ERP orders stream."
"How many events failed on our sales orders stream last week, and what were the top causes?"
"Summarise this week's issues by stream and error type."
Finding every record affected by a problem
"That SKU-not-found error on our stock stream — which SKUs does it affect, and how many orders are impacted?"
"Give me the list of orders affected by this issue so we can check them in our ERP."
Status and "did it arrive?" checks
"Has order #5678 been sent to the warehouse yet?"
"When did our returns stream last run, and what's its current status?"
"Which of our streams are paused or set to manual?"
Lookup tables and reference data
"What's in our shipping-method lookup table? Show it as a table I can export."
"Which carrier does shipping code STD-EXPRESS map to?"
Understanding how your integration works
"What does our orders stream actually do — what's the source, the destination, and what data does it carry?"
"Where does the value in this field come from — which mapping or lookup table sets it?"
"Which of our streams touch inventory data?"
"Tell me how this transformation works and lay out the mapping in a clear table."
Tracing data discrepancies
"Stock for SKU ABC123 jumped by 3 units — which event caused that adjustment?"
"An order total looks wrong in our ERP — walk me through what happened to that order at each step."
When you need an action taken
The assistant is read-only, so it cannot resend an event or change a mapping. But it can help you pinpoint exactly what to ask for — so your support ticket is already half-solved when you raise it. See How to fix and resend a failed event and Requesting a mapping change for the actions themselves.
