Adding a warehouse or location
What's involved when you add a new fulfilment location to your HighCohesion integration.
Adding a new warehouse or fulfilment location affects multiple streams — inventory, fulfilment, and financial — so it requires coordination with HC rather than a self-service change in the Control Panel.
What's affected
When you add a location, the following streams may need updating:
Inventory sync — the new location needs to be included in stock level calculations and pushed to the correct destination fields
Fulfilment streams — orders routed to the new location need to flow correctly, including any 3PL-specific formatting
Financial streams — fulfilment costs and inventory movements associated with the new location need to post correctly
How to raise the request
Contact HC with the following:
The name and type of the new location (own warehouse, 3PL, fulfilment partner)
The system it operates in (if a 3PL: which platform, e.g. Bleckmann, ShipBob)
Which streams should include the new location
Any routing logic — e.g. "orders tagged X should go to this location", or "this location handles returns only"
Your target go-live date

Go-live
What to watch for after go-live
Inventory double-counting: If the new location holds stock that was already counted elsewhere, you may see inflated inventory figures until the configuration is corrected. Check inventory levels in your destination system against the warehouse's actual stock on day one.
Order routing: Confirm that orders are routing to the correct location and not falling through to a default or previous location.
If you see either of these issues, contact HC immediately — do not attempt to manually correct figures in bulk until the root cause is confirmed.
