What HighCohesion does

Understand what HighCohesion does with your data, how an event moves between your systems, and what HC does not do.

The short answer

HighCohesion connects your commerce systems (Shopify, Centra, NetSuite, Peoplevox, Microsoft Business Central and others) so that data moves between them automatically. Instead of copying orders from your storefront to your warehouse system by hand, or reconciling inventory numbers in a spreadsheet, HighCohesion handles those data movements for you. It is the layer that keeps your systems in sync; it does not replace any of them.

How it works

Something happens in one of your systems

An order is placed, a shipment is confirmed, a return is processed. HighCohesion picks up that event from the system where it happened.

HighCohesion transforms the data

The event's data is transformed into the format your other system expects.

HighCohesion delivers it

The transformed event is delivered to the receiving system.

Examples

  • A Shopify order flows to your warehouse management system so it can be picked and packed.

  • A despatch confirmation flows back to Shopify so the customer receives a tracking notification.

  • An order is posted to your ERP as a sales order for financial recording.

  • A return processed in your warehouse restocks inventory in Shopify and creates a refund.

  • A credit note is created in your ERP when a cancellation is confirmed.

What HighCohesion does not do

HighCohesion is not a replacement for your systems. Shopify remains your storefront, NetSuite remains your ERP, Peoplevox remains your warehouse system.

HighCohesion does not make business decisions. It follows the logic agreed with the HighCohesion team during setup; if your business rules change, you raise a change request.

HighCohesion does not permanently store your data. It processes and forwards events.

What this means for you

  • You do not copy orders between systems by hand or reconcile inventory numbers in a spreadsheet.

  • Your existing systems keep their roles: storefront, ERP, warehouse system. HighCohesion sits between them.

  • When your business rules change, you raise a change request with HC.

  • Your data is processed and forwarded, not permanently stored.
