Managing users and permissions
How to add and remove team members from the Control Panel and what each access level allows.
Access levels
The Control Panel has four roles:
Owner β the admin of your organisation. Full access to configuration (including keys, streams, sources, destinations, transformations and lookup tables), alerts, and user management. Owners and operators are the only role that can replicate events. Assign this to the person responsible for the integration.
Operator β can view everything but has not edit access. They can replicate events and jobs and execute manual streams runs. Suitable for hands-on operations team members.
Viewer β read-only access to configuration and reporting. Can monitor the system and pull reports without any risk of changing live settings. Suitable for stakeholders who need visibility.
Owners can edit streams, but be aware that stream changes affect live data flows β when in doubt, raise a change request with HC rather than editing directly.
